Sports Medicine
Requirements for student-athletes to participate in varsity athletics:
1. Proof of health insurance.
2. A sports physical within six months of the starting date for your sport.
Physicals
All student-athletes are required to receive a pre-participation physical in order to participate in athletics. Student-athletes must have a physician complete and sign the pre-participation physical form and return to the York County Athletic Department.
This form must be completed and turned in to the York County athletic department prior to beginning any varsity sport, including pre-season practices. Any student-athlete who does not have the required paperwork completed will be held out of participation until it is received by the York County Athletic Department.

Insurance
The college carries an accident insurance policy for its student-athletes. The college policy is considered the secondary payer to all other valid and collectible medical plans. This complimentary coverage plan covers athletic injuries only during the sport season, as specified by the Yankee Small College Conference and York County.
