The ECAC Mortal Kombat 1 Playoffs are set to begin, with Dominic Ramirez representing York County Community College as the 9th seeded competitor in the round of 12.

Dominic - known online as THE M1RROR - is 4-4 on the season and takes on the 8 seed Quintin Morris - known as Qdot - from Buffalo State in a best of five format. The matchup represents a rematch of a February 8th series that saw Morris defeat Ramirez three games to none. The winner of the match goes on to face top seeded Joseph Evans from Southern Arkansas University.

The E-Sports team currently competes in Mortal Kombat 1 and Super Smash Bros, but are looking to expand, says Head Coach Garrett McLean. "We have a number of incoming first years who are active members of our discord server. We are expecting to add more teams for Street Fighter and are hopeful to begin competing in Fortnite and/or Overwatch next season."
