First Year Runner Sets School Record in Conference Meet

The Men’s and Women’s Cross Country teams traveled to Randolph, VT this past weekend to compete in the Silloway Maple Syrup Challenge.

On the men’s side, first-year Gavin Sampson delivered a historic performance, finishing 21st overall and shattering the previous 8K school record by three minutes with a time of 29:27.86.
 
For the women, first-year Nina Laam made her season debut in the 5K, placing 53rd with a time of 27:24.47, a strong foundation for the races ahead.
 
The Hawks return to action on September 20th at the Maine State Meet, hosted by Bowdoin College.
