Hawks Open Track and Field Season By Breaking Records
The York County Hawks Track and Field team opened their indoor season at the University of Southern Maine with an impressive showing, highlighted by five new school records and multiple personal bests.
Leading the way was first-year standout Landin Napolitano (South Berwick, ME), who delivered a breakout performance across multiple events. Napolitano began his day in the 55-meter dash, posting a quarter-second personal best that also set a new school record. His time qualified him for the finals.
Napolitano continued his strong day by qualifying for the finals in the long jump as well, recording a personal best in the event—his first time competing in the long jump since his junior year of high school.
The Hawks will look to build on this momentum when they travel to Plymouth, New Hampshire, on Saturday, January 17, to compete in the PSU Panther Invitational.
